Kaizer Chiefs new head coach Fernando Da Cruz has admitted that his team still needs more additions ahead of next season.

Amakhosi have been relatively quiet this transfer window only making four signings.

Having returned from pre-season in Spain, Amakhosi will now play their final friendly match this weekend before their Betway Premiership opener against Kruger United.

On Sunday, Da Cruz’s men take on Scotland FC at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Phokeng in the annual Toyota Cup.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, the Chiefs coach admitted that there are positions that need reinforcement.

“A striker, new wingers and an offensive midfielder,” the French coach said.

“We [already] have good profiles, but we asked management to get different profiles, so that we can play different football and be less predictable.”

New Kaizer Chiefs coach make decision on Cele

During their pre-season in Spain, Amakhosi were without the likes of Thabo Cele and Glody Lilepo. The Chiefs coach explained why the duo were not part of the pre-season squad

“First for, Lilepo has other opportunities elsewhere and the management is open to listen [to offers],” Da Cruz explained as per FARPost.

“For Thabo Cele we have a lot of players in his position and I prefer other profiles and for the moment he’s not on my plans,” he said this week.

With a new coach and technical team, Kaizer Chiefs are looking to improve from last season where they finished third.

Who should Da Cruz sign before the transfer window closes?
