Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Keegan Dolly has revealed what they told Siyabonga Ngezana after his horrific game against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ngezana made a mistake right at the beginning of the match where he wanted to do a back pass goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma but it was too short and Sundowns attacker Gaston Sirino intercepted it and pounced it into the net.
Ten minutes later, Ngezana gave a penalty which led to his side going with a 2-0 advantage going to the break. The 25-year-old didn’t come back in the second half as he was replaced by Njabulo Ngcobo.
Chiefs stand-in captain, Dolly explained how the players dealt with the situation after the game.

“After the game us as players, the coaching staff, everyone assured him that it’s part of the game and that it’s something that he needs to learn from, we were just there to help each other like I said this season is a brotherhood, we in this together,” he told reporters.
“We explained to him we lose together we win together. Against Maritzburg United we were all celebrating, we won 3-0 and against Sundowns we had to take it. It’s part of football, it’s part of our journey. We just need to minimize those mistakes and try to create more chances and score goals.”
The ‘Ephefeni’ Glamour Boys will face Richards Bay on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium. The Natal Rich Boyz are yet to concede a goal this season, sitting on seven points.
Chiefs will not be keen to remember this fixture last season, as they were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup in the last 16 Richards Bay.
