Confirmed: Seabi To Sekhukhune United

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sammy Seabi has joined Sekhukhune United on loan, iDiski Times has learnt.

 

The 27-year-old has spent most of his time out on loan since joining Masandawana from relegated Polokwane City in 2019, having had stints at Swallows FC and Chippa United.

Things looked well for Jazz Festival, as he is affectionally known, last season, when he managed to make 22 appearances for the Eastern Cape-based side before returning to his mother club Masandawana at the beginning of this current campaign.

iDiskiTimes can confirm that Seabi will spend the 2022/23 season on loan at Sekhukhune United, as first reported by FARPost. It will will be his third loan deal since moving to Chloorkop.

Overall, the seasoned midfielder has made 122 appearances in the DStv Premiership so far, scoring six goals and assisting three more.

In an interesting addition to his story, Babina Noko will face Sundowns at Peter Mokaba Stadium this weekend. It remains to be seen whether Seabi will immediately make the squad after becoming the 17th signing of the window.
