Kaizer Chiefs have now made eight transfer decisions ahead of the new Betway Premiership season. They confirmed the signing of Adolf Mtasingwa from Azam FC and sending goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari on loan to AmaZulu FC.
The Glamour Boys have strengthened Fernando Da Cruz’s squad with three new arrivals. The additions have beefed up goalkeeping, central defence and central midfield.
ADOLF TASINGWA LEADS NEW ARRIVALS
Kaizer Chiefs have made the following signings during the current transfer window:
- Thabo Moloisane, central defender from Stellenbosch FC.
- Renaldo Leaner, goalkeeper from Sekhukhune United
- Adolf Mtasingwa, defensive midfielder from Azam FC (Tanzania)
Mtasingwa also becomes the first player from Tanzania to represent Amakhosi, bringing experience after previous spells in Iceland, Norway and Finland.
KAIZER CHIEFS PART WAYS WITH FIVE PLAYERS
At the same time, Amakhosi have trimmed the squad by releasing four players and allowing Ntwari to leave on loan. The standout exit is Aden McCarthy who was one of the best players in Soweto last season. The 21-year-old left-center back stepped into greener pastures with a move to Europe.
The departures are:
- George Matlou – joined Stellenbosch FC
- Tashreeq Morris – joined Durban City FC
- Happy Mashiane – currently without a club
- Aden McCarthy – joined Sabah SK
- Fiacre Ntwari – loaned to Kruger United.
With three arrivals and five departures already confirmed, Kaizer Chiefs have made eight major transfer decisions as preparations continue for the new Betway Premiership season.
In the meantime, the Glamour Boys are hotly linked with Stellenbosch FC superstar winger Langelihle Phili. The club is also expected to sign an attacking midfielder. Perhaps a left-back is also needed after Paseka Mako’s fractured arm in Spain.
