Former Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga is set to pen a two-year deal worth in excess of R4.2-million with Botola Pro side Maghreb de Fès.

The 25-year-old who was released by Sekhukhune United at the end of last season had offers from Marumo Gallants and Algerian Ligue 1 champions CR Belouizdad but Fès reached a verbal agreement with the player and his representative this week ahead of his flight to Morocco.

iDiski Times understands the Zambia international striker was offered a deal worth R156,000 per month net, while the second season would reach up to R200,000, which excludes the performance-related bonuses for appearances made and goal scoring.

Shonga will arrive in Morocco on Friday, with his medical scheduled to take place on Saturday with the club before he officially pens his contract for a second stint in North Africa, following a brief period with Ismaily in the Egyptian Premier League,

The club also hold an option to extend his two-year deal by one year, should they be satisfied with his performance, after a couple of years of instability within his career that promised so much.

Shonga racked up 107 appearances in the South African top-flight for Pirates, TTM, Cape Town City, and Sekhukhune United, scoring 19 goals while registering 18 assists.
