Takatso declares commitment to SAA deal

Published

The Takatso Consortium says it’s still committed to acquiring a 51 percent stake in South African Airways. The consortium says it’s actively working with Public Enterprises on pre-conditions and approvals.

It says it will be ready to begin operating as soon as all requirements are met.

There has however been an outcry over the sale. There is also concern that government will still be liable for specific costs. The state may also have to source most of the funding to complete the deal.
