Speaking at Thursday’s launch of the DStv Premiership, Royal AM Co-Coach Khabo Zondo has opened up about the co-coaching situation at the club.
Zondo, who has been out of the professional game for the past few years, joined the technical team after John Maduka left for Maritzburg United, and last week the club announced Dan Malesela would also be part of the technical team.
And that is how Zondo prefers to think of the situation, as he explained on Thursday.
“Maybe the correct word to be used is to say the technical team,” Zondo told said during the SuperSport TV launch of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership.
“And in the technical team like that we try to find our strengths. Dan Malesela only came in this week. He’s got to understand a few things that are done in the club, so how are they being done.
“He comes in with his own experience and he’s a decorated coach. And within ourselves, we’ll find our strengths as to who does what. And we decide as to Dan lead the team or Khabo leads the team or Wire Nteo leads the the team.
“And within the structure we advised one another and I’m happy that there is tolerance. We’re trying to do something about it.”
