The world wasn’t ready for the raw talent that is Makhadzi, but she has made the circle bigger and shown them. Makhadzi is on her last leg of touring internationally, and it’s been a ride for her. Magear is one of the musician’s most upbeat songs of the year, and she has been making everyone Change gears in the world.
Some of her fans from Vancouver to Toronto in Canada have been dancing non-stop, and Makhadzi has proven to be lit that fire.
Magear is a song that Makhadzi says is one of the biggest in North America; now that’s big!
It is this very song that the dancing Queen has teased a video for, and from the little that she has shared, we are about to see Zombies getting down.
The video shows Makhadzi breaking a leg surrounded by dancers wearing torn clothing with faces painted like ghosts.
“Sometimes people need to Dance to relieve stress.” The singer said.
Makhadzi will be performing in London on Saturday the 30th of July and Magear will be the main attraction. Ahead of the video release, which according to her, will be dropping on August 9th, just in time for Women’s day.
The singer says Michael Jackson inspires the video. Michael Jackson has two Zombie-inspired videos, the Record-breaking Thriller, released in 1984, and the second one, Ghosts, released in 1996.
Magear sees the Zombies dancing out in the woods.
“Turning Zombies to a human to Dance”, she captioned the video.
If you have forgotten, Magear is not the only Zombie-inspired video we have seen SA Dance Queens release this year. Kamo Mphela also gave us a video of her song called Ghost over a month ago.
She is also seen being taken over by the zombies who know how to get down to the music. Makhadzi’s fans have sent messages of appreciation to this video, calling it creative and cutting edge.
This happens as Makhadzi is going through a bit of drama where she exchanges unkind words with reality star Inno Morollong.
Inno accuses the Matorokisi hitmaker of owing money to certain people and failing to honour paid bookings. Makhadzi has since denied these claims.
Two days ago, her man Master KG, was also caught in his drama once again for alleged copyright infringement for the hit song Jerusalema.
All of this doesn’t seem to stop this powerhouse, who says in favourable and unfavourable times, the only thing to do, is “YOU WORK.”
