Edition 64 of iDiski Times hits Shoprite stores today, and you don’t want to miss out on this very Special Banyana Banyana Edition.

Banyana will land in South Africa today, and they brought back the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy home with them. Go pick up a FREE copy of iDiski Times at Shoprite in Gauteng to celebrate with them.

Lorenz Köhler was in Morocco for the tournament, and our iDiski Times journalist caught up with Refiloe Jane, Noko Matlou, Andile Dlamini and Janine Van Wyk after they became African champions for the first time.

Lorenz also penned a piece about Banyana coach Desiree Ellis and what lies in the future for the CAF Women’s Coach of the Year.

Desiree Ellis is also the subject of Rob Delport’s column this week, while a third story about the three-time coach of the year is also by Rob, as he speaks to Bafana Bafana legend Benni McCarthy, about Ellis and the neighbourhood he and Ellis both hail from, Hanover Park.

Staying with the Bafana theme, Rob spoke to two of the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations winners, Shaun Bartlett and Eric Tinkler, about Banyana’s success.

Lethabo Kganyago meanwhile, caught up with former Banyana analyst, and now South Sudan coach, Shilene Booysen.

This Banyana generation has achieved legendary status, something they share with former Orlando Pirates captain, Happy Jele, and Velile Mnyandu spoke to Jele about his shock exit from the club where he played at for 16 years.

Velile also brings us news from Kaizer Chiefs, where the club is reportedly closer to signing a foreign trialist.

David Kappel was in KZN and brings us the story of Royal AM’s launch of a women’s team, after buying Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies’ franchise, while David also interviewed Dan Malesela, who was unveiled as new co-coach at the same event.

Our friends at iDiskiTV are back with their views on topical subjects, Nkululeko Nkewu has been following Banyana, while Junior Khanye looks at Ronwen Williams’ move to Mamelodi Sundowns. Benedict Vilakazi meanwhile, is worried after Jele’s exit from Pirates

We also bring you the second part of our look at what to expect from DStv Premiership clubs this season, there are all the latest rumours, and more.

Don’t forget the digital edition of the newspaper will be released FREE ON FRIDAY only on the website.
