New Sekhukhune United striker Victor Letsoalo has opened up about joining the club, and is looking forward to the 2022/2023 DStv Premiership season.

The 29-year-old Bafana Bafana international was heavily linked with moves to both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates throughout the last campaign where he scored 17 goals in all competitions for Royal AM.

His move to Sekhukhune took many by surprise after he had handed in a transfer request and was expected to move to one of the big three. However, Letsoalo seems happy with his transfer to Babina Noko and is looking forward to the challenge of a new team.

“I’m really grateful to join Sekhukhune United,” Letsoalo told the club’s media department.

“It is familiar, as they are from Limpopo. I’m just glad to join the team. And I’m looking forward to the season and with the group of players that they have.

“I’m looking forward to gel with them immediately because the season is around the corner, so we’re just looking forward to the season.

“Ja, it’s going to be a challenge, as it’s a new club and a new environment. A new team, like all the players that I’m going to be playing with.

“So I’m just looking forward to do my best, to play well, to fight with the guys because it’s all about unity. It’s not about me only. So we just gonna work together and then try to just score goals and then to win games. That’s always what matters.”

Letsoalo also had a message for the fans of his new club.

“Personally, I’m just looking forward to play with my heart all out, with the players and then to win games for you guys, and for us,” he added.

“Because it’s all about us, it’s not about one person or whatever. It’s all about the brand of Sekhukhune to grow. And we are here to make sure that we grow the brand and ja, we’re looking forward to it.”
