Tuks Bring In Goalkeeping Duo

The University Of Pretoria have completed the signings of former Cape Town All Stars goalkeeper Kyle Peters and former Cape Town Spurs goalkeeper Darren Johnson.

Motsepe Foundation Championship side AmaTuks lost their first-choice goalkeeper Thakasani Mbanjwa to Swallows, and he was announced by ‘The Birds’ a few days ago. A close source also confirmed that Tuks have let go of their second-choice goalkeeper Bulelani Cola.

iDiski Times has learned that former Bidvest Wits goalkeeper Peters has successfully joined the Pretoria-based side following the good season he had last season in Motsepe Foundation Championship which saw All Stars finishing third and qualifying for playoffs.

Meanwhile, Johnson also joined the side after they let go of Cola, after two seasons where he played less than five games. Johnson was with Cape Town Spurs a few seasons ago, having come through the Ajax Cape Town youth system The 25-year-old former junior international, who helped South Africa reach the Olympic games, spent some time at Black Leopards last season, but joins Tuks as a free agent.

After finishing second in the league last season Tuks are aiming to go one step further and gain automatic promotion.
