Public urged to use water sparingly despite dam levels rising

Despite the weekly report revealing an improvement in dam levels in some parts of the country, the Water and Sanitation Department is urging South Africans to continue using water sparingly.

The country’s average dam level is 93.4 percent, up from 85.2 percent in the previous year’s report.

At the same time, the department says the situation in Nelson Mandela Bay remains dire.
