The former Real Housewives of Durban cast member recently unveiled the brand on her social media platforms, introducing Rich Skin as a passion-driven project inspired by personal family experiences and her interest in skincare and self-care.

According to reports, Angel described the brand as more than just a beauty line, explaining that “Rich” refers not only to luxury, but to healthy skin, confidence and self-love beyond societal standards.

In her launch message, Angel revealed that Rich Skin was inspired by her mother, Nomusa Ndlela, whose skin condition journey played a central role in shaping the brand’s purpose.

She shared that while the products are not designed to treat medical conditions, they helped improve the appearance and hydration of her mother’s skin, boosting confidence and encouraging a focus on skin health and nourishment.

Angel has increasingly positioned herself as an entrepreneur beyond television, using her platform to grow into lifestyle and beauty ventures. The launch of Rich Skin also signals her entry into South Africa’s competitive skincare market, which continues to grow as consumers lean toward self-care and wellness-focused brands.

She also emphasised that the brand aims to promote healthy, hydrated skin rather than unrealistic beauty standards, aligning with a broader shift in the local beauty industry toward natural and inclusive skincare messaging.

Following the announcement, social media users congratulated Angel, praising her for turning personal inspiration into a business venture. Many also highlighted how South African celebrities are increasingly building beauty and lifestyle brands as part of long-term wealth creation strategies.

“Congratulations my Angel bear,” said one Instagram user.

Another one said: “So proud of you bro.”

While reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase said: “Congratulations my sis.”
