In a rather unusual way of doing things, one of Zimbabwe’s biggest football clubs has sent a plea to its diaspora-based fans to help their CEO, Ronald Moyo (Main Picture) with a laptop.

The seven-time Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League champions have found the going tough in the league this season. They are currently 10th with five wins, nine draws and four defeats after 19 matches.

In an official letter signed by the club’s executive secretary Morgen Dube, ‘Bosso Tshilamoya’ said their financial troubles make it difficult for them to raise funds to buy a laptop.

“The club wishes to buy a laptop for the Chief Executive Officers’ office. Given our current financial predicament, we are however unable to raise enough funds to buy the laptop,” read the letter.

Moyo (30) who is the current CEO is a former sports journalist.
