Singer Chris Brown is not happy to have his name linked to a shooting alleged to have happened outside his house in Los Angeles.

Brown took to Instagram to distance himself from the shooting, saying the incident could not have happened anywhere near his house, where he was at the time the shooting allegedly took place.

“AT THIS POINT, THE PATTERN IS OLD. I’m looking at the news like the rest of y’all, wondering when and where the h&*l this happened. I been in my crib this whole time. Ain’t heard a gunshot, police car, or anything. DON’T ATTACH MY NAME TO NONE OF THIS BULLS&*T. I got s%$t to do,” says Brown.

Reports say on May 1, authorities responded to a shooting that occurred in the Tarzana neighbourhood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Jail records show police arrested a 35-year-old man named Markeith Cungious. He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon that is not a firearm and held on $50,000 bail, says abc7.com.

According to TMZ, sources say a female called police to report that a shooting had just occurred where the suspect allegedly fired at her vehicle during the incident.
