AmaZulu Marquee Signings Report For Pre-Season

AmaZulu’s marquee signings George Maluleka and Rally Bwalya have reported for pre-season, while Gabadinho Mhango and Ethan Brooks will join after the COSAFA Cup.

Usuthu have completed nine signings this window so far, with the likes of Mhango and Sibusiso Zuma being the standout names of their initial six additions.

This past week, they also added Maluleka after he was released by Mamelodi Sundowns last month, when the treble winners decided not to activate his one-year option to extend his deal. Mido forms part of the major rebuild at Usuthu and adds a wealth of experience to their midfield.

The 33-year-old has put pen two paper on a two-year deal with an option to extend, and was pictured in AmaZulu training for a first time on Monday.

In addition, Zambia international playmaker Bwalya also reported for pre-season after his move from Simba SC to KwaZulu-Natal.

The 27-year-old, who is known fo his silky skills that have earned him the nickname ‘Soft Touch’, signed three-year deal with Usuthu.

Meanwhile, Mhango will represent Malawi at the COSAFA Cup, while Ethan Brooks, who also joined Usuthu, will be at the tournament as one of Bafana Bafana’s key players.

Mhango and Zuma were part of the club’s first six arrivals, the others being Augustine Kwem, Veluyeke Zulu, Riaan Hanamub and Thendo Mukumela, before Brooks, Bwalya and Maluleka joined.
