Mokotjo On The Mend In Holland

Kamohelo Mokotjo has returned to training after his continuous rehab program at FC Twente, with hopes of re-signing with his former team.

The former Brentford midfielder spent one year with the MLS outfit Cincinnati, before being released by the club last year. He is hoping to sign a new contract at Twente, a club where he once spent three successful seasons, as soon as he is declared fit enough.

“It was a pleasure to watch,” Sporting Director Jan Streur told Twente’s website.

“He needs to get even fitter now.”

Mokotjo has also participated in a club-friendly, where he got 30 valuable minutes on the pitch in which they won 11-0.

“Right now I’m here and my sole intention was to come back and play for FC Twente, ” said the 31-year-old Mokotjo.

“I also expected it to heal quicker than it’s happening right now. Rehab is not a pleasant thing to do, it’s been challenging. You also see results and yourself coming back to your normal self. It’s a good sign. Compared to my previous results.

The Sporting Director has insisted that he will continue to train, and that he is a serious option.

“In your psyche you just know that you gonna come back a stronger footballer than before,” continued Mokotjo.

“I had injuries before and I’ve always come back stronger.”
