Mozambique International Set For Galaxy

Mozambique international Amadú has agreed a three-year deal with TS Galaxy upon the expiry of his contract with Moçambola side União Desportiva do Songo.

The 25-year-old agreed personal terms on a pre-contract with the Rockets earlier this season when his contract ran into it’s final six months while the top-flight was still inactive in his homeland.

Despite the recent issues in the league, the defensive midfielder, with Malian heritage, will arrive as one of the most highly-rated players to emerge from the league in recent seasons.

Amade Momade, known as Amadú has been a regular in the national team and made his international debut under former Liverpool defender Abel Xavier four years ago in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Zambia.

However, he’s yet to fully establish himself in the first eleven with Manuel Kambala and Shaquille preferred in the midfield role over the last few games for The Mambas.

But after a penning a three-year deal with the Rockets he’ll be hoping that his move to South Africa furthers his progression after seeing his development stunted when the league was suspended due to the league not being able to provide financial assistance for flights within the country with Mozambican Airlines (LAM) running into financial ruin.
