Sinky Mnisi, CEO of Royal AM says their new head coach will be announced next week.

Royal AM are currently coach-less after John Maduka left the club to join Maritzburg United.

With coaches like Dan Malesela, Gavin Hunt and Owen Da Gama available, it is expected that a local coach will be unveiled.

Mnisi spoke to Andile Ncube on Sports Night Amplified on Tuesday night, where he revealed the type of coach they will be looking for and when the announcement might come through.

“When you lose someone like John Maduka, you must get someone who is better than Maduka, that is what will show that you are serious in this business,” Mnisi told Andile Ncube on Tuesday.

“We need to headhunt for a coach now, we need a coach that will play our style of football. The new coach of Royal AM will be announced on 28 June, We need an experienced coach that understands SA football.”

Mnisi later went on to explain that they are or have already recruited players even though the club is currently without a coach. He also mentioned briefly that he spoke to the agent of Malesela but not to him personally.

“The management at Royal AM attends to the acquisition of players, that is me, Andile Mpisane and MamKhize. We cannot wait for the appointment of the coach to acquire players,” added Mnisi.

“Dan Dance is one of the best coaches in SA, we have only spoken to his agent not with him directly.

“Mark my words, any coach that will join Royal AM for as long as I am there, will be successful. I don’t interfere, they will enjoy 100 percent support. That’s all I can say.”
