“Both of my babies died” – The Giyani: Land Of Blood Actress Mourns After Losing Her Second Twin Baby

ACTRESS Zinhle Mavasa feels she is cursed as her life has had a series of tragic events.

The Giyani: Land Of Blood actress is mourning the passing of her second twin baby.

She said she lost her one-year-and-six-month-old baby due to brain damage and a lung disease on Friday, 17 June.

The actress from Giyani in Limpopo said it all felt like a dream.

“I feel like I failed my champs. Both of my babies died. I failed them. My life has been difficult. In 2020, I lost my mum, Maria Mashimbye, in 2021 it was my four-month-old child to lung disease and in 2022 it’s my other child,” she said.

On Saturday, 18 June Zinhle was also involved in a car accident around Roodepoort.

“This is too much for me to handle. I can’t even focus anymore as this has affected me psychologically. I can’t cope with these losses. I have lost hope and don’t even know what to do anymore.

“I am so heartbroken as a mother. It hurts a lot as I was looking forward to raising my baby. I am still shocked. I pray to God to give me strength to hold on a little longer,” she said.

Zinhle said she hasn’t been on set for a while as this has taken a toll on her.

She appealed for help with counselling services.

“I need public support. I don’t even have cash on me right now,” she said.

Zinhle, who plays Matimba on Giyani: Land Of Blood has eight years’ experience in the film and television industry.

“I have a masters in Acting and Filming from New York Film Academy and a degree in fashion design. I have been a professional actress since 2018,” she said.
