FULL LIST | All 48 countries confirmed for FIFA World Cup 2026

The 12 groups for FIFA World Cup 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico have been confirmed after the conclusion of the European playoffs.

The tournament will kick off on Thursday, 11 June when Mexico and South Africa clash.

That’s in 71 days’ from date of publication.

Bafana Bafana’s second Group A match will be against the Czech Republic – who booked their spot on Tuesday evening – on 18 June, while their clash against South Korea is scheduled for 24 June.

As a reminder, the top two sides in each of the 12 groups plus the eight best third-ranked sides will progress to the Round of 32 at a World Cup which will feature 48 teams for the first time ever.

The tournament will feature a record 10 countries from Africa.
