Lamiez Holworthy calls out lookalike for ‘copying’ her style and attacking fans

Lamiez Holworthy lashes out at her doppelganger

Lamiez Holworthy has finally addressed the growing buzz around a woman who bears a striking resemblance to her, shutting down the drama after the lookalike began insulting fans online.

The situation started when social media users noticed a TikTok creator, known as @ruralzulugirl_stylist, whose appearance, right down to her hairstyle, tattoos, and fashion choices, closely mirrors that of the Metro FM DJ.

Curious fans began tagging Lamiez, with some even suggesting the two should meet or collaborate.

What might have remained a lighthearted comparison quickly took a different turn when the woman reportedly lashed out at commenters.

Instead of embracing the resemblance, she responded with harsh words, even using profanities toward those pointing it out.

After observing the situation for some time, Lamiez decided to speak out.

Taking to social media, she made it clear that she initially had no issue with the comparisons.

“It creeped me out a bit, but overall I found it flattering,” she said.

However, her stance changed when fans became the target of insults.

“I think it’s just getting out of hand because this lady has now resorted to swearing at people who innocently mention her looking like me, and every response has my name along with a vulgar slur in it,” she added.

In a move to set the record straight, Lamiez also shared what she described as “receipts,” posting side-by-side images to suggest that the woman had been replicating her style over the years.

Referencing timelines in the posts, she pointed out, “Please kindly pay attention to the dates of these posts. 2018 vs 2020… Again, my issue isn’t the fact that she mimicked me; my issue is in her blatantly denying it, swearing at innocent people and alluding to the fact that I copied her instead. Where’s the hair and tattoos in 2020?”

Her response quickly gained support, with many fans backing her stance and criticising the lookalike’s behaviour.

Some described the situation as unnecessary, while others felt the woman should not take offence to comparisons she seemingly encouraged through her styling choices.
