After six months of speculation on
where he will play, a former Baroka FC goalkeeper will guard goals for a Zambian side, writes Robert Matakanye.

Chipolopolo goalkeeper Cyril Chibwe has signed a two-year deal with Zesco United.

The 28-year-old became a free agent after he was released by Baroka in January this year.

The goalkeeper attracted interest from various clubs in the GladAfrica Championship and Zanaco of Zambia
among others.

Chibwe was believed to be close to joining former PSL side Free State Stars, who are playing in the second tier, but he has eventually settled for a move to Zesco.

He has previously played for Platinum Stars, Jomo Cosmos and Polokwane City.
