Solomons On Future Amid Chiefs Links

Swallows utility-man Dillan Solomons has remained coy on his next move with Kaizer Chiefs favourites to land the highly-rated talent.

Solomons, 23, was one of the shining lights in a tumultuous season for the Dube Birds which saw them retain their top-flight status on the final day of the season with a 1-0 win over AmaTuks earlier this week.

Last week, his representatives confirmed to iDiski Times ‘five clubs’ have expressed interest in his services and this webiste understands Chiefs are the likely destination ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

But Solomons refused to be drawn into the speculation and stated he will not focus on his future for now as he looks to return to Cape Town to visit his family during the short off-season break.

“My phone has been ringing but that’s my agent’s job, he has everything on lock you know and for me now it’s just to go home now and enjoy the break, I haven’t seen my family in a while, so it’s just for me to enjoy my break and let my agent do the work,” Solomons said with a grin on his face.

His veteran teammate Musa Nyatama who plied his trade for Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates over his distinguished career had a word of advice to him ahead of his next move and burst out laughing when posed the question of the difference in playing for one of the big three clubs.

“My advice would be for him to continue to stay humble, be disciplined as he’s been throughout the season and also what I like about him is he is versatile, he can play right-wing, left-wing, at the back – so my advice is to remain disciplined and dedicated to his work,” the 35-year-old said.

“I’m sure he’s been there throughout his career he’s been dealing with fans from Cape Town, even Johannesburg, so he must just stay humble, I’m not sure where he’s going next!”
