The third day of the road to the GladAfrica Championship began with a group ‘DO or DIE’.
Eastern Cape side Spear Of The Nation battled with Kimberly Real Madrid. The Northern Cape side took the lead inside three minutes from a veteran himself Keanan Thomas. Both sides fought but went to a break Madrid leading by 1-0.
The second half began Spear Nation made a double substitution throwing everything to Northern Cape champions and they were rewarded with a penalty in the 60th minute Sifundo Dlamini stepped up and converted.
The Eastern Cape champions did take off the foot on the paddle as they got the second goal in the 70th minute following a thunderbolt from Xolo. Nala put the nail in the coffin making three for the Eastern Cape side

The second match of the day saw the hosts North-West University Soccer Institute facing tournament favourites Summerfield Dynamos. NWU went into the halftime break leading by 2-0 after Matshane scored in the 16th minute, Gadla made it 2-0 in the 32nd minute leaving the KZN side with no choice but to come out and attack. 15 minutes after the break NWU made it three after a great goal from Mahlong. Dynamos pulled one back in the 77th minute but it was too little too late.

The last game of the knockouts between Zizwe United of Western Cape and MM Platinum of Gauteng was a ‘DO or DIE’ for both sides, unfortunately, one side was needed in the semis. An early goal from Langa gave MM Platinum an advantage and it remained as the only goal as United couldn’t find a vital equalizer. MM Platinum through to the semifinals.
