Another Kaizer Chiefs star ruled out for the season

Kaizer Chiefs are down to the bare bones after yet another significant setback. Here’s the latest from Naturena as the injury news doesn’t get better.

Kwinika to miss the rest of Kaizer Chiefs’ season

Zitha Kwinika has been ruled out for the remainder of the season for Kaizer Chiefs. Nkanyiso Shinga and George Matlou will also play no further part in 2025-26, leaving Chiefs light on personnel as they negotiate a tricky run-in. Rushwin Dortley is still recovering from knee surgery, while Given Msimango recently returned from a long-term issue but isn’t yet match fit. Inacio Miguel will miss Chiefs’ next two games after picking up his eighth booking of the campaign against Magesi; the Portugal-born Angola star now has a staggering tally of 18 yellows in 53 appearances for the club.

Kaizer Chiefs’ remaining fixtures

After consecutive Betway Premiership wins over Durban City and Magesi, Chiefs are within touching distance of the top three. They trail third-placed AmaZulu by a point but, crucially, they have two games in hand on the Durban-based side.

Kaizer Chiefs defensive reshuffle on the cards?

Chiefs are reportedly targeting central defensive duo, Bright Ndlovu and Thabo Moloisane. Sekhukhune’s Ndlovu moved to Babina Noko in 2024, while Moloisane is a long-standing target after a string of impressive displays for Stellenbosch FC, where he’s an indispensable first-team regular.
