Sundowns Announce New Youth Initiative

Mamelodi Sundowns have launched a Youth Internship Programme in partnership with Student Village that will offer a unique experience to work for the club.

On Wednesday afternoon, the domestic treble winners called upon the media for a special announcement as journalists and social media influencers were given access to the Chloorkop facilities with a sneak peek of the day-to-day activities of the South African champions.

Chairman Thlopie Motsepe was present at the special event, where he announced that they are starting a project for youth to hone their skills in a variety of sectors and hone their trade with the Tshwane giants on a five-month internship basis.

“The programme which launches on Youth Day day this year – will run for 5 months, from August to December and will see the club open its doors and begin a search for five eager interns,” read part of the club statement released after the even.

Among the positions that are being availed are:

  • TikTok content creator
  • Photography
  • Production video Editor
  • Journalist/Writer
  • Marketing Activation- Supporter Mobilisation

Not only was the event about the announcement but Motsepe opened the floor to questions from fans, influencers and media about the running of the club and himself opened to suggestions of where Masandawana could potentially prove in their product from a marketing and social media standpoint.
