Fans drag Smash Afrika for ‘unprofessional’ conduct towards Liema

After almost three months of the intense sixth season of the hit reality show Big Brother Mzansi, Liema Pantsi emerged as the winner of the 2-million-rand prize.

However, viewers of the show were unimpressed with how Smash Afrika handled his presenting duties, as many thought he was unprofessional and had a favourite, which was allegedly Thandeka.

FANS CALL OUT SMASH AFRIKA FOR BEING UNPROFESSIONAL

During the show’s finale on Sunday, 22 March, viewers commented that Smash seemed unhappy that Liema won.

While some fans felt that his quick exit from the stage after announcing Liema as the winner showed a clear sign of unprofessionalism, others defended him, stating that he typically reacts that way after declaring the winner.

LIEMA EMERGES AS ‘BIG BROTHER MZANSI’ SEASON 6 WINNER

The 24-year-old has made a full circle victory, as she was a contestant in season 4. She voluntarily left the show after Big Brother gave the housemates the option to either stay until the end or walk away with R250,000; Liema chose the latter.

Liema joins a list of previous Big Brother Mzansi winners, such as Sweet Guluva in season 5 and Mphowabadimo from season 3, who have built formidable brands for themselves.

Mphowabadimo, who lost her mother in August 2024, has since launched her flourishing podcast while continuing her work as a traditional healer.

While Sweet Guluva remains a fan favourite, especially for his fashion sense, as seen at many events where his drip is always ncah!

LIEMA IS ALSO A SONGSTRESS OF NOTE

The star, originally from the Eastern Cape, has built an impressive music career following her time on Big Brother.

In 2025, she was awarded the SAMRO Songwriter of the Year as well as the Collaborator of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards.
