The actor famous for playing Mazwi was born in  Durban, KwaZulu Natal. He came from a family where his parents believed education was the key to success. His parents ensured their son had the best education, and Musu Ngema made sure he would not waste his parents’ efforts.

To be a trophy, he studied hard at school to excel in his studies. The actor did his primary school at a local school and was involved in many school activities, including soccer.
