Unlike many of the young talents coming into our small screens, Bongani is not an academic. Soon after his Matric, Thulani focused on acting rather than pursuing academic education. Everything he learned or studied is acting-related. Despite loving other activities like soccer, Thulani’s natural talent for acting overrode every interest he had elsewhere.

During his early years in Tsakane township, Johannesburg, Thulani joined the local community theatre, where he started developing his skills.
