Rulani Invited By Uganda Giants

Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena has been invited by Ugandan giants Kampala Capital City Authority FC to share some of his knowledge about coaching.

The Masandawana coach, who helped his side to lift the treble this campaign and as a consequence was named Coach of the Season, alongside his colleague Manqoba Mngqithi.

Mokwena is currently on a break with Sundowns and was invited to visit Uganda between 17 and 22 June, as announced by the club on Monday.

“Mamelodi Sundowns co-Head Coach Rulani Mokwena will pay a courtesy visit to KCCA FC for one week,” the club stated.

“The South African professional football manager will be in Uganda from 17th – 22nd June 2022.

“The former Orlando Pirates and Chippa United Coach is coming purposely for knowledge sharing with the technical team of KCCA FC.

“Rulani has been invited by the KCCA FC management and this is in line with the Club’s Five Years Strategic Plan under the Key Result area 5 which is Strategic Partnerships and Alliances.

“Ex Uganda Cranes skipper Denis Onyango who is also a player at Mamelodi Sundowns FC has been a key factor in ensuring Rulani’s visit to KCCA FC comes to life.

“The objective of the visit is to leverage new and existing collaborations and create a competitive advantage for the club and broaden the club’s capabilities.”

Mokwena himself has confirmed the news via his social media account and stated he feels humbled by the invite.
