Morocco have made it two wins out of two after collecting their second win in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification on Monday night.

The Atlas Lions, who had beaten Hugo Broos men 2-1 on Thursday, also beat Liberia 2-0mon Monday.

Following a subdued first half with limited chances for either side, Morocco put their foot on the gas in the second interval and collected another three points thanks to goals by Faycal Fajr and Youssef En-Nesyri, who scored in the space of two minutes.

The opener came via a penalty kick, while the second followed a fine team move after Liberia had given the ball away cheaply in the build-up.

Morocco have expected their lead at the top of Group K, with six points and a goal difference of 4-1, while Liberia moved to the bottom, with a negative goal difference of minute two, one worse than Bafana.

The two bottom-placed side will battle it out in a double-header in September, with two wins being enough for either side to book their AFCON 2023 after ticket after Zimbabwe was disqualified from the group.
