Jackie Phamotse slams Nadia Nakai and Nasty C’s “Really” as “nonsense” in viral rant

Jackie Phamotse drags Nadia Nakai’s poor lyrics in ‘Really’

Author and commentator Jackie Phamotse has sparked heated debate online after taking a blunt swipe at Nadia Nakai and Nasty C’s latest release, Really.

Shortly after the visuals dropped, Phamotse took to X with a scathing reaction that quickly gained traction.

She dismissed the track as “bubble gum music,” tying its sound to what she believes is a wider cultural issue.

“This bubble gum music is the direct result of not reading!” she wrote.

She went further, questioning the artistic direction of the collaboration and suggesting it doesn’t reflect where the artists should be at this point in their careers.

“At this stage in her career, this is nonsense,” she added.

The song itself leans heavily into a polished, feel-good formula, built on catchy hooks and repetition rather than layered storytelling.

That approach has resonated with fans who enjoy its replay value and confident energy, but for critics like Phamotse, it highlights a lack of depth from artists known to deliver more.

Here’s what some other X users had to say:

“True i miss the days when Rap meant rhythm and poetry with so many play on words and sarcasm you had to be an english najor to read between the lines now all they say is im a bad bitch look at me i got money like bicthes wooo wooo”

“Yall hate creativity, and this type of music is for ama2k not wena uli 1k go listen to Brenda fassie or something.”

“They just didn’t put any effort at all… For nasty c damn…. M really disappointed”
