South African actor and entrepreneur Lindah Majola expressed his shock about the closure of Showmax, following the announcement of the streaming platform’s shutdown on 5 March.

SHOWMAX: WHERE LINDAH’S ACTING CAREER BEGAN

Before landing his breakthrough role on Showmax, Lindah gained popularity from his hilarious skits on social media.

The Durban-born star played the character of outspoken Langa Dladla on the smash hit telenovela The Wife, which was based on the best-selling books The Hlomu Series by Dudu Busani-Dube. His character was also a twin to the main character, Hlomu, played by Mbali Mavimbela.

On his Instagram Stories, Lindah reflected on his journey with Showmax by posting a clip of his performance from The Wife, referring to it as “the platform that launched my acting career.”
