Lebo M marries again after dumping his US lover
Grammy-winning producer and composer Lebo M is said to have quietly moved on from his American fiancée and tied the knot with South African actress and recording artist Nomoya Refiloe Dube.
The Lion King collaborator, born Lebohang Morake, was previously engaged to US lifestyle influencer Tatiana Dixon, popularly known as Besso.
Their whirlwind romance had appeared serious, with lavish gifts and international trips painting the picture of a fairytale engagement.
However, insiders now claim the relationship has come to an abrupt end, with Lebo M allegedly entering into a “shotgun wedding” with Dube, also known as Moya.
According to a source close to the couple, Lebo M and Moya first crossed paths in the United States under unexpected circumstances.
“She was signed to Asanda Empires, under Sony but they parted ways while she was in the US. This is where she met Lebo, and they got married,” the source alleged.
The insider went on to describe Moya in glowing terms, saying: “What a lovely girl, pleasant, gorgeous. But she was stranded in LA and Lebo became her knight in shining armour.”
Before his engagement to Besso, Lebo M had also been romantically linked to Malefu “Mel” Ntsala.
He reportedly proposed to Besso shortly after ending that relationship, only for their engagement to unravel months later.
“He is a serial lover, to say the least,” the source claimed, suggesting a pattern in the composer’s high-profile romances.
Lebo M is further alleged to have ended things with Besso after flying her from Los Angeles to South Africa for the African Icons concert in Durban, held in honour of the late Joseph Shabalala.
The pair reportedly stayed at a five-star beachfront hotel during the trip, but insiders say the romance did not survive long after.
“He is smitten by Moya. She is quiet, ladylike and very submissive. Besso on the other hand was overly confident,” the source added.
There are also claims that Lebo M is attempting to recover the engagement ring he allegedly gave Besso.
“It had a massive rock and he is going the legal route to make sure he gets it back,” the insider said.
