The disqualification of Neliswa Ngada on Big Brother Mzansi: Bazozwa has sent the internet in a frenzy.

The club entertainment manager who is originally from the Western Cape was the first housemate to get disqualified in this season. This is after she had a physical altercation with another housemate, Velile Nongogo, better known as Que.

After their weekly Saturday night party, Lindy ‘Trixie’ Christoffels and Lindokuhle ‘Bravo B’ Nsele had a love quarrel that involved Que. Didintle “Didi” Mothobi, whom Que showed interest to in the early weeks of the show, verbally attacked Que. Thereafter, Que lashed back calling her a slut, which is a derogatory term and saying “no wonder you were abused”, making a comment referencing Didi’s history of abuse.

Neliswa did not take that comment lying down, leading to her allegedly slapping and kicking Que while he was on his bed. She was later seen with a mannequin tripod intending to assault Que with it.

On Sunday evening after Mpendulo Dube was evicted from the show, Big Brother announced on the X (formally Twitter) page that Neliswa has been removed from the competition.

The housemates were gathered in the lounge when Big Brother addressed their behaviour. Didi received a double strike for physical violence and provocation, while Que was issued a single strike for verbal provocation. Neliswa was disqualified, leaving other housemates wallowing in sorrow.

X users weighed in:

Neliswa Ngada the name that will forever be remembered for standing for injustice when it’s NOT popular. Walk high with your head held high, you’re a Queen. 👑
You bow out as an ACTIVIST who was fighting for what was right.

Thank you Big Brother. Gender Based Violence is not something that affects women only but also men. Housemates should play within the values of the show 🙏 #BBMzansiS6

If Que was the one that brutally assaulted Neliswa last night the story would have been different

So we have to show him the same support right now

Let’s show him some love ❤️ #BBMzansiS6 ✍️ pic.twitter.com/W1uHbGy9tH
