Cyan Boujee’s TikTok account banned

It seems like Cyan Boujee can’t catch a break on TikTok.

The DJ and social media sensation has once again lost her account, the one that had nearly 400,000 followers.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Friday, Cyan, whose real name is Honour Zuma, told her fans that the platform had removed her account without warning.

She expressed disappointment but also hinted that she might be ready to move on from the app.

“I know you guys love me, and I love you guys so much too, but there are people that don’t love me, and because of that I got banned again on TikTok,” she said.

“I don’t have TikTok anymore. I was about to reach 400k followers, but the enemy won this time.”

The influencer, known for her confident online persona, suggested that the suspension could be a sign to shift her focus.

“I guess maybe my content was too premium, and this is a sign that I should maybe focus on other stuff,” she added.

It’s not the first time Cyan’s content has gotten her into trouble with TikTok.

Earlier this year, her main account, which boasted a massive 1.7 million followers, was permanently banned after she was criticized for promoting the Alabuga Start Russian programme, a campaign that sparked controversy online.

Reflecting on that incident during a chat on the L-Tido Podcast, Cyan opened up about the toll it took on her.

“I lost a lot. I lost some dignity. I have a lot of anxiety. I lost my TikTok account. This is a huge learning curve for me,” she said.

“But more than anything, I’m a victim. Even if I’m sorry for not doing my homework and not being able to represent myself properly in the situation, I still believe I’m a victim.”

She added that the backlash didn’t just affect her, but also those around her.

“It was bad for everyone, my team, my family. Everyone received backlash, not just me.”
