After weeks of uncertainty and swirling rumours online, Ye’s highly anticipated South African concert has been officially confirmed. The Monyake Group, the event’s organisers, released a statement reassuring fans that the show will take place on 13 December 2025 at Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg.
In a firm declaration, the group addressed claims circulating on social media, saying:
“The agreement between Monyake Group and Yeezy LLC is valid and in good standing. Preparations for the concert are progressing in line with the signed contractual terms. Any claims about deregistration, non-payment, or breach of contract are entirely untrue.”
The statement underlined the organisers’ commitment to delivering a world-class concert experience while urging the public to rely only on official communications for updates.
The Rumours That Shook Fans
The reassurance comes after claims made by Musa Khawula on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting that the Monyake Group was in deregistration with CIPC, had failed to make payments to West’s management, and was generally mismanaging the event.

Khawula alleged that West’s fee had originally been $8 million, later reduced to $5 million, with an initial $1.25 million instalment due by 20 September 2025. According to him, the Monyake Group had requested a five-day extension, raising fears that the concert was at risk.
He further claimed that, without sponsor backing, ticket sales alone would have to fund West’s payment, noting that only 6,000 tickets had been sold so far.
