842 new COVID-19 cases recorded in SA

The country has recorded 842 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours.

Gauteng recorded the most with 383 new cases followed by KwaZulu Natal with 139.

The Western Cape reported 134 new cases.

One person has sadly succumbed to the virus.

There are now 9,274 active cases in South Africa and the test positivity rate is 6.3 percent.
