President Cyril Ramaphosa has given the Madlanga Commission until Monday, 25 January 2027 to submit its final report.
According to a statement supplied by the Presidency, the extension will allow the commission to process additional evidence, including testimony from experts who have made recommendations on its terms of reference.
Ramaphosa also thanked the commission for its work and acknowledged law enforcement agenciesโ follow-up on testimony heard during the inquiry.
The commission is investigating criminality, political interference and corruption in South Africaโs criminal justice system.
