Actress and media personality Pearl Thusi is reportedly facing a SARS demand for nearly R15 million in alleged outstanding tax debt.
According to the Sunday Times, documents put the alleged personal income tax debt at about R9.8 million, plus approximately R5.2 million in interest and R20,000 in administrative penalties.

She confirmed that she is engaging with SARS and acknowledged that an amount is owing, but described the nearly R15 million figure as “grossly incorrect and therefore misleading.”
SARS reportedly gave her 10 business days to settle the amount or pursue available remedies.
SARS declined to discuss her individual tax affairs, citing taxpayer confidentiality.
The demand is part of a tax-collection process and is not a court finding that Pearl owes the full amount reported.
