🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗬𝗔 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗗, 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠𝗦
SAPS says disciplinary proceedings against Lieutenant General Shadrack Sibiya remain active, with his hearing postponed to 12 October 2026 at his request to consult his legal representatives.
The police service says the disciplinary hearing and Sibiya’s Labour Court proceedings are separate matters running in parallel.
Both matters came before their respective forums today, 5 October 2026. The urgent Labour Court application was adjourned to allow SAPS to file opposing papers and Sibiya to submit his replying affidavit.
SAPS says it will not comment on the merits of the Labour Court matter while it remains before the court.
