President Cyril Ramaphosa will address South Africans at 19:00 tonight on the steps government is taking to confront the countryโs gender-based violence and femicide crisis.
The President is also expected to provide an update on investigations into the killings of women in and around Ekurhuleni, which have triggered widespread public concern and renewed demands for urgent action against violence targeting women.
Ramaphosa had previously announced that law-enforcement agencies were prioritising the Ekurhuleni cases.
