Powerful testimony has emerged in the inquest into the death of Anele Tembe.
A witness told the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court that he heard a woman repeatedly shouting “𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗲” shortly before Tembe’s fatal fall from the Pepperclub Hotel in April 2021.
He testified that he then heard a scream and a loud bang before rushing to the hotel and attempting to assist her.
Five years later, evidence surrounding Anele’s final hours is now being formally examined in court.
