South African Afro-soul singer-songwriter Thando Zide is set to celebrate the release of her debut album, Ku Ngawe, with a special full-album experience on Sunday, 6 September 2026.

The event will be held at Mount Joy, Plot 41, Utopia Road in Krugersdorp, from 1pm to 6pm. Presented in partnership with Stella Artois, this experience offers fans the opportunity to hear Ku Ngawe performed live in its entirety for the first time.
Thando Zide includes big names on album
Released on 26 June 2026, Ku Ngawe is an 11-track R&B and soul album that explores themes of love, spirituality, identity, growth and community. The project features contributions from acclaimed South African artists and songwriters including Ami Faku, Msaki and Manana.
Among the album’s standout moments is Fakazela, Zide’s collaboration with Ami Faku. The song explores the vulnerability of unspoken feelings between close friends, adding an intimate emotional layer to the album’s broader exploration of relationships and personal growth.
The 6 September event is being positioned as more than a conventional album launch. Described as an immersive celebration bringing together the music, stories, collaborators and people who have been part of Zide’s journey.

An experience to look forward to
The outdoor setting at Mount Joy is expected to complement the album’s warm, intimate character while welcoming audiences into the world of Ku Ngawe.
Fans will have the chance to experience Ku Ngawe not simply as a recorded album, but as a live musical journey — a celebration of Zide’s artistry, the people around her and the next chapter of her career.
The event has already generated strong interest, with the first ticket phase sold out and the overall event reported as 60% sold out.
Tickets are available from R350, with the event open to guests aged 18 and over.
