South Africa’s Rising Pop/R&B Star Yandani Steps Into The Spotlight With A Sun-Soaked Anthem About Love, Obsession And Losing Yourself In Someone’s Presence

At just 20 years old, Yandani is making his boldest move yet. The South African Pop/R&B artist today announces the release of his new single ‘Touch’, dropping 12 June 2026, serving as the lead single ahead of his highly anticipated debut EP, About You, set for release on 10 July 2026.

With one million TikTok followers already in his corner, Yandani is no stranger to captivating an audience. But ‘Touch’ marks a defining new chapter — a polished, pop track with R&B undertones that signals exactly the kind of artist he is becoming.

“Touch is about being so in love with someone to the point where you lose control over your own life,” Yandani explains. “Even though the person seems to be playing games with your feelings, their beauty and presence are so powerful that you are willing to drop everything just to be near them.”

Bright, sassy and irresistibly fun, ‘Touch’ is a song about being completely consumed by someone — their presence, their pull, the way they make everything else fade into the background. It is light-hearted and energetic, driven by infectious lyrics and a confidence that feels effortless.

“I just want anyone listening to it to have the time of their life and enjoy it so much that they just want to keep replaying it,” he adds.

The track was co-written with acclaimed British songwriter and producer Sacha Skarbek — known for co-writing James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover” as well as Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” — and Stephen Barnes. The trio crafted the song’s melodies and lyrics together in a writing session that Yandani describes as one of the most memorable moments of the project.

“It was very fun writing this song with Sacha and Stephen. We didn’t want to make it super serious — we just kept it fun, bouncing ideas off each other. Having that much fun during the writing process was the most meaningful part.”

About You arrives 10 July 2026 and is the result of two years of writing, recording and refining across London, Durban and Cape Town. A six-track debu
