Second suspect arrested in Reiger Park murders of police officers and two women
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Reiger Park today, Sunday in connection with the 7 August killings of two Anti-Gang Unit constables and two civilian women.
Acting National Commissioner Lt Gen Puleng Dimpane praised the Hawks, EMPD, Anti-Gang Unit, Flying Squad, and local residents for the successful tracing operation.
Two suspects are now in custody. Reagan Collis (23) remains detained, with his bail hearing set for 25 August. The new suspect is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court this coming week.
Constable Thapelo Tlomatsane was buried in Limpopo on Sunday. Constable Sphiwe Sibeko was laid to rest on Saturday.
