Award-winning musician TNS has publicly pledged his support for marches against illegal immigration, adding his voice to an issue that continues to spark widespread debate across South Africa.
The music producer and DJ shared his views in his mother tongue, saying he supports calls for the government to take stronger action against undocumented immigration.

Loosely translated, his message directed at the South African police force and soldiers was the following: “The government has been disrespectful to us as citizens. And you’ve been used and assigned… to fight against your people… Don’t allow yourselves to be used for dark purposes. We are willing to die cleaning our country. This is their fault, not yours.”
TNS supports peaceful protests
His views come as anti-illegal immigration marches have gained momentum in parts of the country, with organisers urging the government to strengthen border security and enforce existing immigration laws.
As reported by Daily Sun, the artist expressed that he would be among those engaging in a peaceful protest.
“We must be allowed to fight for our country peacefully without being interrupted,” he told the publication.
Public reaction remains divided
TNS’s stance has generated mixed reactions online. While some social media users praised the musician for speaking out on what they believe is a pressing national issue, others criticised his comments.
“We salute you, bhuti, for standing with your people,” commented one Facebook user.
“No government can stand against the citizens, that’s what I have noticed over the years,” said another.

“Education is very important. You think you can influence a person who took an oath to protect the Republic of South Africa without fear or favour. Uphold the Constitution. Be careful, chief. You are who you are today, and have whatever you have today because of God’s grace. We are all visitors in this world.
“You can choose to understand if you want to; regardless, this world will always show you its true colours. You came to this world with nothing, and you will leave with nothing, hey,” cautioned one more.
The debate over illegal immigration has intensified in recent months, with marches taking place in several areas and government officials reiterating that immigration laws must be enforced while protecting the rights and dignity of everyone living in South Africa.
Immigration remains a national talking point
Illegal immigration continues to be one of South Africa’s most discussed social and political issues, with concerns often centred on employment opportunities, crime, service delivery and border management. At the same time, rights organisations have called for lawful and humane treatment of migrants and refugees.
As public figures like TNS weigh in on the conversation, the issue is likely to remain firmly in the spotlight.
