Another Woman Shot Dead in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni
A 23-year-old woman has been shot and killed in an alleged robbery in Temong, Tembisa, Ekurhuleni this morning.
According to police, the woman was on her way to work when she was attacked at about 05:45 on Mapungubwe Street. Her belongings were allegedly taken.
She has been identified, but police say her family has not yet been formally notified.
Gauteng SAPS is investigating a case of murder and robbery. No arrests have been made, and detectives are following up on leads.
The shooting comes amid ongoing investigations into a series of cases involving women whose bodies have been found across Ekurhuleni since July. Police have not publicly confirmed a link between this shooting and those cases.
The latest case in the wider investigation involved Ntombifuthu Nxumalo, whose body was found at Mooifontein Cemetery in Tembisa on Saturday, 26 September. A suspect was arrested in Limpopo later that night.
