Thatohatsi performs viral TikTok sound at university event

Amapiano artist Thatohatsi, performed at a student mixer at the University of the Free State. In a hilarious turn of events, the artist performed a viral TikTok sound she has repeatedly expressed love for on her social media.

The moment went viral on the app, with many finding joy in the performance.

Thatohatsi performs TikTok sound

The Abantwana Bakho hitmaker recently put on a memorable show for the students for the International Cultural Diversity Festival. The singer performed her biggest hits, including Ama hem hem.

Yet the most iconic part of the evening was when she performed the viral TikTok sound of a remix of one of Adele’s biggest hits, Love In The Dark, with the contemporary rap song Not Yours by up-and-coming artist Lady Binladen. 

The amapiano artist posted a few videos on her TikTok showcasing how much she loves the song.

South Africans enjoy the performance

The crowd chanted along to the song as Thatohatsi performed, a moment seemingly well-understood and well-received. Her fans were a live crowd even before that moment, as they sang along to her hits and embraced the artist.

Yet the moment was as iconic online as it seemed in person. Commenters shared a great laugh at how personable Thatohatsi came across. One person in attendance shared a video of himself in an enclosed area away from the crowd, laughing at what he could hear.

Thatohatsi also shared a video of the performance on her page. While some commentators laughed along with her, others embraced how funny she was.
